Budget/Schedule
The goal for the fall term for the project was to finish the design and planning phases. This included designing the bridge and articulation structure, preforming analysis on the components of the bridge to ensure that they would function as intended and not fail during testing, source parts for the bridge, and get everything ready for manufacturing in the winter.
The beginning of the schedule was solely aimed at completing the major design and analysis for the bridge and articulation structure. As this is the major component of the project, it was what the rest of the analysis would be based around. Ensuring that all the calculations for it were done early was vital to maintaining a stable workflow. Following the structure design and analysis, components such as the motor driving the articulation system and the 3-d printed components were analyzed. After all the analysis was finished, the parts could start to be sourced.

Budget

In the project budget, both the labor and construction costs are 1/10th the standard salary due to the scale of the project. Labor was calculated based on a yearly salary of $65k per year for a civil engineer. As the design phase is scheduled to take 3 months,v 1/4th the salary is taken, then divided by 10 to give the project budget of $812.5. For the construction costs, a similar method was performed to the labor costs, but this time using the hourly wage of a construction worker(about $24.04). Based on the 3 months the project is scheduled to take, assuming 4 hours a day for 5 days per week, the reduced cost comes out to be $577 for construction labor.
